Review : The Bengaluru Brasseire
The Bengaluru Brasserie is a restaurant located in the upscale hotel of Hyatt centric which is in one of the most majestic places of Bangalore, The MG Road!, it's 200m off from trinity circle, right besides 1MG-Lido mall and bigbazaar.
it's on the 4th floor of the hotel, the ambiance setup is very luxurious and very bright with natural light as huge wall size window panes covers up entire one side of the floor, the have an indoor seating, semi open air and open air seating arrangement setup, the open air seating arrangement setup is right next to a pool, which gives the dinners dining there a very cozzy and cool pool side dining experience, the indoor seating has a nice view towards the pool area through huge window panes, also they have a bar counter setup with bar stools.
talking about food, food menu is of Continental, Asian, South Indian and North Indian cuisine. food menu is categorized into Grills, Indian affairs, Asian affairs, breads, salads, appetizers, burgers, sandwiches & wraps, pasta and risotto, native inspired plates, late night food, kids corner and sweet bites. The multi-cuisine menu is curated by Head Chef Manish Uniyal which focuses on classic plates with a modern interpretation, dishes local to Karnataka, whole section dedicated to healthy and nutritious food. the dishes are created from fresh locally sourced natural ingredients. native inspired plates and the Indian affairs are two of the must try sections from the menu, native inspired plates section features dishes like the healthy Millet Wrap, the Mangalorean chicken curry served with set dosa and the very popular Bisi Bele Bath. all these are all traditional and native dishes to the state of Karnataka with rich history in making and serving of these items, a part of the menu offers a journey through the flavors and experience of cuisine which are native to Karnataka.
we started our course of our meal with podi idli, it's a traditional item of the south where idli is sprinkled with spiced powder, it was served with rich coconut chutney, it was a perfect savory to start with our course of the meal, then we had gulkand broccoli, a must try for broccoli lovers, it was more like a tandoori broccoli marinated with rose gulknad, the taste was a mix of sweetness of rose gulkand and savoriness of the tandoori broccoli, i highly recommend for anyone to try this item, our next item was TBB Naan, it's a leavened Indian bread topped with poppy seeds and pistachio, the masala potato burger and Margarita pizza were absolute classic, aglio e olio pepperocino rissotto was delicious.
our most favorite item of the day was the Bisibele bath, we were just looking into the native inspired plates section of the menu and we saw bisi bele bath being listed on the menu, initially we were like bisibele bath? meh!!, we're not gonna have it and then 500 bucks for bisibele bath? comon you've gotta be kiddin me!!!!!!, but then again we ordered it anyways to give it a try, in the end WE ABSOLUTELY LOVED!!! IT, wow that was amazing and thankfully we had done a very good choice of ordering it, that was the best bisibele bath i've ever had, we loved it so much that we ended up ordering 3 more of it again. anyone who doesn't know the name bisi bele bath or not aware of this this dish should try it for real and the people who already know it, it would be an incomplete experience without trying it out and not having to taste it when you are at The Bengaluru Brasserie.
also we had few cocktails and mocktails in between our course of the meal, few them were signature items. the one which caught my attention most was a cocktail named lal bagh, it's dark red colored Gin based cocktail with berries, rosemary and lime, it was served in tea pot along with 2 empty martini's for us to pour upon on to it, the whole presentation was mesmerizing.
