Review : Stories - The Brew Chapter
Stories - The Brew Chapter is a micro brewery and pub on the 29th main lake road, BTM 2nd stage. it's on the top floor of the building. there are 2 levels to this place, a indoor dining area with kitchen and the rooftop.
Indoor area is a very long stretch of a place, it is split into multiple sections, as soon as you enter there's a reception area with a artificial waterfall fountain and pond which is pretty mesmerizing, then you cross a small bridge to enter into the main area, the walls of the interiors are surrounded by hanging gardens with thousand plus different types of plants which are then illuminated with a reflecting florescent hangings. there's also a huge bar counter with bar stools and passing by it, you walk little further you'll enter the misty-fying area where the ceiling is fitted with water sprayers which are designed to spray misty water at regular intervals, which is pretty cool, i haven't seen anything like that one before, it was keeping the atmosphere cool and chilled like an air conditioner. also there's a deck space for DJ, the music selections were pretty good with latest English titles, the music were played at a very high thrilled volume and it would make anyone start to groove starting from right at their tables. there were couple of LED screens airing live sports, there's also an another big bar counter. the misty-fying area has the access to the rooftop area. the rooftop is a huge space of open air area with large spread of tables and seating, the tables are made out of natural wood, there is stage for hosting Live entertainment performance shows, a small part of the rooftop area is also used for housing brewing tanks. the music sound on the rooftop is comparatively less than the floor below, so for the people who are looking for to have an active conversation with their friends then this place could be suitable for them.
Food Menu is of Continental, Oriental, Italian, Mexican and Indian cuisine.
Pizza, Dal Makhani, Spaghetti few of the must try items from the menu
Bar menu includes craft beers, large list of signature cocktails, classic cocktails, wine, champagne, mojitos, margarita.. etc.
they have 7 different flavors of crafted beer, each ranging with different composition of alcohol by volume and bitterness, they also had seasonal mango beer.
we started our course of the meal with bunch of starters i.e.
cheese garlic bread - it was soft, warm, garlicy, cheesy and stringy.
kolkata ghungi - stories take on the famous evening snack from Bengal.
palak chole ki tikki - it's nothing but chickpeas cooked with spinach Palak Chole.
madras curry dusted onion rings - which are big chunky crispy and tasty onion based appetizer, perfect evening snack.
paneer papdi roll - paneer cubes are marinated in curd based paste and then coated in roasted papad
we then had a round of main course:
rustica veg pizza - a thin crust veg pizza with toppings onions, spinach, sun-dried tomatoes & black olives. mouth watering vegetarian pizza
veg khaousuey - classic Indian Chinese adaptation of crispy noodles served along with a sweet and sour vegetable.
spinach and cheese roulade - an impressive vegetarian main course serves as very good accompaniment with Indian breads
we ended with few desserts:
chilled rabdi cake - A classic blend of vanilla sponge cake & rasmalai
tres leches - tres leches cake is an ultra light sponge cake soaked in a sweet milk mixture
decadent mousse - basically a dark chocolate mousse.
overall the presentation of the items were fantastic, very artistic presentation of the food,
cheese garlic bread they had a cinnamon accompaniment which was spread in the shape of stories logo. kolkata ghungi, palak chole ki tikki and rustica pizza were my absolute favorites. pretty much loved all the items that we ordered.
excellent service, for such a huge space with so many tables and seating they have adequate staff to provide equal attention to all who are present,
service was on time. for parking they have valet parking service for the 4 wheelers and for 2 wheelers they have an exclusive parking spot in front of the place, so parking shouldn't be a problem.
